Family Eco Adventure
Many parents have asked if they could do a MarineLab program with their children. Here is your chance! This two day program includes two snorkeling field trips by boat with our marine science instructors, a lab exploration, overnight accommodations in our dorms, and three meals. Explore the seagrass, mangrove, and coral reef habitats that make up the unique marine ecosystem of Key Largo. ITINERARY
Participants must be at least 8 years old and include a parent or legal guardian. We allow a maximum of 8 people per family group.
Family fee: $800 for up to 4 family members (this is the minimum reservation)
Additional family member: $135 each
Fees include three meals for each person, accommodations in our dorms, field trips and mask, snorkel, fins and snorkel vest.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is an educational program. We want all family members to participate, including the parents and guardians. If you are looking for a resort-type setting where the kids will be occupied while you relax, this is not the program for you! We do not allow smoking on campus or consumption of alcohol on our campus or our boats.

ITINERARY
Day 1: arrive between 9 - 10 am, learn to snorkel, practice snorkeling in our protected lagoon, have lunch, hop on one of our boats to snorkel in the seagrass/mangrove community! Supper is followed by a lab investigation of the fuzzy rocks near shore.
Day 2: After breakfast, get back on the boat for a snorkeling trip to the coral reef. With luck, we'll see a sea turtle and dolphins, and we'll definitely see tropical fish and corals! Depart before lunch.
Sequence and content of field trips subject to weather considerations.

“The kids had a blast and weren’t ready to leave! We would highly recommend this to anyone who asks. Can’t wait to come back for another trip.”
We loved our time at MarineLab and created a lot of great family memories. It was fun to learn about the interesting marine life and ecosystems in the Keys. We look forward to another adventure soon at MarineLab! Thank you to everyone for making it such an enjoyable experience.
